Permanent Make-up Frequently Asked Questions:
*How long does the process take?:
Each procedure varies between clients but the average time per procedure is around 1 hour.
*Does it hurt?:
Yes, Permanent make-up can be uncomfortable...BUT it is fast and worth it. Most clients describe it as uncomfortable with a tickling sensation.
*Will I need a touch up?:
Cassie recommends the initial procedure and then a touch-up within 6 months. The touch-up can be done as early as 4-6 weeks after the initial procedure. Each client varies but this general rule works for most. Some clients like to get a touch-up every few years to enhance the color.
*Do you numb the area?:
Yes! A topical anesthetic is applied before each treatment.
*Will I look scary for weeks afterward? Will I need to hide out in my home?:
You will not need to hide out....however, your make-up will most likely be darker than you were originally wanting for the first week after the procedure. During this time the area is healing and the lines look more harsh than they will after healing has completed.
*What will the healing process involve?:
The healing process varies at times but a good general rule to follow is 7-10 days of healing time. During this time the client applies an A&D ointment (provided by Cassie) each day until healing is complete. It is not uncommon for the area to scab. Picking is discouraged because it can cause the pigment to fade.
*Does Cassie use soft tap or the gun application?:
Cassie has done much research on the topic and far prefers the gun over soft tap. Using the tattoo gun is fast and efficient. The pigment is delivered into the skin much easier and has proven to last longer with each of her clients.
